AnswerRequest

I am a resident of Odisha and have given birth to a child under the Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY) scheme. However, I have not received the JSY payment. I have approached the Anganwadi worker, but they are not taking any action. What can I do to get the JSY payment? Can I file an RTI to know the status of my payment?

Know the practical answer?

You can file an RTI under §6(1) of the RTI Act to know the status of your payment. You can also approach the District Programme Coordinator for assistance.

As per §7(1) of the RTI Act, you can file an RTI to know the status of your payment. You can also approach the Block Development Officer for assistance.

According to the JSY guidelines, payments are to be made within 15 days of delivery. You can file a complaint with the State Health Mission. This is the best course of action.
