Terms of Use

These terms apply to the RTI Wiki Citizen Help and Community Q&A subdomain at ask.righttoinformation.wiki. By browsing, posting, replying, or using the community tools, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy.

General information only

The site provides public, plain-language information about RTI and citizen problem resolution in India. It is not a law firm, lawyer, government authority, emergency service, or paid filing service. No page creates a lawyer-client relationship. Always verify deadlines, fees, addresses, and official procedures with the relevant authority.

Community posting rules

  • Post only content you have the right to share.
  • Do not post Aadhaar, PAN, bank details, private addresses, phone numbers, passwords, medical records, or children's personal details.
  • Do not post defamatory, threatening, discriminatory, unlawful, spam, or misleading content.
  • Do not impersonate another person, public authority, lawyer, or RTI Wiki moderator.
  • Keep replies practical, sourced where possible, and relevant to the question.

Public licence for posts

When you submit a public question or reply, you allow RTI Wiki to host, display, index, moderate, edit for safety, quote, and archive that content as part of operating the community. You still own your own content. You may request deletion or redaction through the privacy contact.

Moderation

We may edit, hide, delete, move, or mark content as spam where needed for safety, data minimisation, relevance, legal compliance, or community quality. Moderation tools are available only to authorised accounts.

Accounts and security

Posting uses the main RTI Wiki account system. Keep your account credentials secure. If you believe your account or a community post has been misused, contact [email protected].

Advertising and external links

Optional advertising may appear only after you allow optional ads in the privacy choices banner. Ads and external links are not endorsements. Third-party sites have their own terms and privacy practices.

Availability and changes

We may change, suspend, or remove features, content, or routes as the site evolves. We may update these terms, and the updated date will show when material changes are made.

Contact

For privacy requests, corrections, takedown requests, abuse reports, or terms questions, use the Contact page or email [email protected].
