4 repliesThe time limit for responding to an RTI application is 30 days, as per §7(1) of the RTI Act 2005.
The time limit can be extended by 30 days, if the information is being collected from another public authority.
If the PIO fails to respond within the time limit, you can file a complaint to the FAA.
As per the RTI Act 2005, the time limit for responding to an RTI application is 30 days. If the PIO fails to respond within the time limit, you can file a complaint to the FAA, and also ask for compensation under §19(5) of the RTI Act 2005.
