I want to verify my name in the voter list. Can someone guide me on how to do this? Can I file an RTI for this?

You can verify your name in the voter list on the election commission website or by contacting the local election office. You can also file an RTI under §6(1) of the RTI Act, asking for the verification of your name in the voter list.

The voter list is usually displayed on the notice board of the local election office. You can also ask your booth level officer to verify your name.
