I filed an RTI application to get the status of my FIR, but the PIO has not responded. What can I do now? Can I file an appeal, and what are the chances of getting the information?

Best solution

You can file a first appeal under §19(1) to the Appellate Authority, citing the delay in responding to your RTI application. The Appellate Authority might direct the PIO to provide the information.

You can also file a complaint to the State Information Commission, citing the PIO's failure to respond to your RTI application.
